Digital tools are now an important
part of education, making teaching and learning easier and more effective.
During my teacher training l used several tools that helped me learn better and
become more engaged. In this reflection, l will state about three useful tools
such as Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), Goggle Classroom, and Google maps
were each supporting a different way of learning.
The virtual learning is an
informative tool that gave me easy access to lessons, notes, and assignments. I
could log in anytime and from anywhere to check materials, which helped me
learn at my own pace. Important announcements and a color-coded calendar made
it easier to stay organized and meet deadlines. However, there were some
problems. Sometimes the internet was slow or didn’t work well especially when
many students were online. Also, limited mobile data made it hard to download
big files or submit work on time. Even with these challenges, VLE helped me become
more independent and improved my digital learning skills
Google classroom was a communicative
tool that made it simple to talk and share with teachers and classmates.
Teacher posted class notes, videos, assignments and announcements that we could
see right away. We submitted our work online and received quick feedback. It
helped us become more responsible by reminding us of deadlines and keeping all
work in one place. Google classroom is safe and private only people in the
class can see the content. It works on both phones and computers, which is
helpful for learning from anywhere. Also, students felt more confident asking
questions in the comments section. parents could also follow their child's
learning, making the connection between school and home stronger.
Google maps worked as a situating
tool, helping us connect what we learn in class to the real world. We used it
to explore places, measure distances, and understand directions. It was
especially useful in subjects like geography, where we learned about landforms
and nearby locations. It also helped us plan trips and understand places better
before visiting them this kind of learning made me lessons more interesting and
easier to understand.
In conclusion, VLE, google classroom
and Google maps helped me learn in different ways. As a future teacher, I want
to use these tools to make my classroom more active, fair and connected to real
life
